Intergalactic Star Database

4 November 2026

Intergalactic Star Database is a star registry run by Crowther Creative Products. It registers a real star from the Hipparcos catalogue under the name you choose, and sends a gift pack with a Certificate of Registry, a co-ordinates sheet and a star chart.

What is in the gift pack?

Where do the stars come from?

Every star is taken from the Hipparcos catalogue, the star map made by the European Space Agency’s Hipparcos satellite, which measured the positions of more than 118,000 stars with great precision. Each registered star keeps its real catalogue position, so it can be located with a telescope or a planetarium app.

Where can you buy it?

Intergalactic Star Database gift packs are sold through Amazon UK. The Intergalactic Star Database website links to the current listing and lets you look up a registered star.
